These percentages describe reported improvements; they are not the percentage-point advantage over placebo or a guarantee of an individual result. The findings apply to the studied formula, and the outcomes were participant-reported rather than laboratory measurements of sleep stages or hormones.

Why does a placebo-controlled study matter?

A placebo group provides a comparison. Some people improve during a study because of expectations, changes in routine, or normal variation. Comparing a product with placebo helps researchers evaluate whether the product offers benefits beyond those factors.

Double-blinding helps reduce bias by keeping participants and relevant study personnel unaware of who receives the active product during the blinded study period.

Does this prove deeper sleep or lower cortisol?

The public summary reports improvements in sleep, fatigue, and anxiety. It does not establish increased deep sleep or REM, lowered cortisol, reduced inflammation, or accelerated fat burning.
